These videos have been created by reenactors and academic historians to celebrate the 2500th anniversary of the battle by providing educational material in an easy-to-digest format. These videos have been made with the non-specialist in mind, but they are thoroughly researched and use the latest material from academia, archaeology, and experimental archaeology. We welcome new videos from professionals and amateurs, and we’d love to see a series on the Persian Army and its equipment and tactics, from bows to siege mounds…
Eventually, we also hope to feature a guided ‘virtual tour’ of the battlefield, but we won’t shoot that until the time of the reenactment in July 2022. In addition, we hope to feature videos by ‘makers,’ the serious craftspeople recreating the cultural artifacts of Ancient Greece and Persia.
These videos are free to all, and we hope they are used in many projects!
